Three new products from manufacturer including a low-cost wearable that tracks activity and smartphone notifications
Lenovo used CES 2015 to launch a smartphone powered by new Intel hardware.
The 5.5 inch P90 handset is one of the first to use the chip-makers new 64-bit Intel® Atom™ Z3560 processor and its new LTE modem. Lenovo, which recently completed its purchase of Motorola, claims the new hardware provides “incredible” processing and download speeds.
The Android phone also has a full HD display, 13MP camera, 5MP front-facing, 32GB internal memory, 2GB RAM and a 40000mAH non-removable battery.
It will be available in pearl white, Onyx Black and Lava Red. It will be available in February priced at $399 (£265) although no details on UK pricing and availability have been announced.
“The Lenovo P90 smartphone is an impressive addition to the growing portfolio of Intel-powered smartphones,” said Intel vice president of mobile communications Hermann Eul. “As one of the first smartphones powered by Intel’s latest processor coupled with the LTE-Advanced XMM 7260 modem, people will enjoy exceptional speed and 64-bit performance that will provide users with a great mobile experience. ”
Lenovo also announced the selfie-focused VIBE X2 Pro which will be released in April 2015. It has a 13MP camera on both the front- and rear-facing cameras. Other features include a 5.3-inch screen, 2300mAh battery, 32GB internal memory and 2GB RAM.
It will be available in gold, pink and blue with an RRP of $499 (£331).
Lenovo also also announced their first wearable, the VIBE Band VB10, which will be released in April 2015, priced at $89 (£59).
The slim line low-cost smartwatch has an e-ink display that works, using bluetooth and Android or iOS smartphones.
It will provide fitness tracking, smartphone notifications to their wrist via the anti-glare display. The display is a lot smaller than that seen on Samsung or Sony smartwatches and has space for just 150 characters to display the notifications.
