Exertis have become the first UK distributor to gain ISO 20071 accreditation, the international standard for information security.
In order to gain the accreditation, the distributor’s professional service division have monitored, maintained and improved the technology behind the way they manage their security.
Exertis Technical Services Director Ian Gilbey said “Besides being a key differentiator for our services, our customers know that we have the policies and procedures to protect their information from security threats.”
In line with the ISO requirement, CRN’s distributor of the year examined security threats, vulnerabilities and impacts on their systems, created a set of security controls and adopted a management process that will update security controls in line with the company’s needs.
“ISO 27001 certification provides our partners and resellers with even greater confidence in the way they engage with our range of professional services” and sends important message that Exertis manages security risks effectively” added Gilbey.
