Is the Motorola Moto 360 made from plastic?

A report published on Friday, states that despite the look of the Motorola Moto 360 in promotional videos and pictures, and the manufacturer's desire to position the smartwatch as a premium device, the wearable is made from plastic. This would be in contradiction to statements made by Motorola's Design Chief, Jim Hicks. Hicks had written on Google Hangouts earlier this year, that the body of the Motorola Moto 360 is made of stainless steel. It is possible that there was a change in the materials used since that comment was made.
