Updated models with improved specifications will both be available by end of February
Acer has updated its 4G range with two new handsets at CES 2015, the Liquid Jade S and the Liquid Z410.
The Liquid Jade S is the higher specification of the two models featuring a five-inch display, a 1.5 GHz octo-core processor, 2300mAh battery, 13Mp rear camera, 5Mp front-facing, 16GB internal storage and 2GB of RAM.
It will launch with the Android 4.4 Jelly Bean OS but is upgradeable to the latest version, Lollipop, when it is released later this year.
The first version in the Jade S range was released in July 2014 and the latest model has improved on the front-facing camera, internal storage and a number of other specifications.
The phone, which weighs 116g, has a fully curved body and comes in at just 7.7mm thick.
“We’ve had great feedback on the disruptive design of the first Liquid Jade, (which was) celebrated with the prestigious Good Design award,” said Acer Europe smartphone business vice president Allen Burnes. “The Liquid Jade S with its long list of new features evolved from this award-winning design enhances the benefits of a thin, light and elegant smartphone from Acer.”
The lower specification, Liquid Z410, has a 4.5-inch HD display, quad-core processor and a 5MP front-facing and 2MP rear-facing camera.
The Liquid Jade S will be available in the EMEA region this month priced at €299 (£234). The Z410 will be available from the end of February priced at around €129 (£100).
