Dixons Carphone opens new head office in Acton

Retailer held launch party attended by over 1,000 staff as new office brings together Currys PC World and Carphone Warehouse

Dixons Carphone has opened a new head office in Acton, London, bringing together Currys PC World and Carphone Warehouse under one roof.

The new location will accommodate employees from both brands, following the £3.8 billion merger that was completed in August last year.

Dixons Carphone celebrated the opening by inviting over 1,000 staff to a launch party, hosted by Dixons Carphone CEO Sebastian James, and included presentations by chairman Charles Dunstone and deputy chief executive Andrew Harrison.

The newly renovated office is located at a former BBC wardrobe store in Acton, West London.

Dixons Carphone Chairman Sir Charles Dunstone gave a presentation on how telephones have changed over the last 25 years. Dunstone founded Carphone Warehouse in 1989.
