Exertis appoints as sales and commercial director for IT

Phil Brown will lead commercial business units and IT reseller base for B2B and VAD solutions

Exertis has promoted B2B sales director Phil Brown to a newly created role of sales and commercial director.

Brown will oversee the distributor’s commercial business unit and IT reseller base for B2B and VAD solutions.

His appointment comes less than two weeks after managing director of VAD solutions Graham Smee left Exertis.

Exertis said Brown’s new role will involve promoting future growth of the company by aligning strategy between the sales and commercial units.

Brown had been with Exertis since 2011, when he joined from ASUS, becoming the distributor’s commercial and marketing director.

“This is a fantastic opportunity which builds on my almost five years with Exertis,” said Brown. “This position will enable me to help develop the Exertis proposition and ensure that all our partners have access to a wealth of great technologies, solutions and services we offer. I can’t wait to get started.”

Exertis UK managing director Paul Bryan said: “Phil has already demonstrated his skills and attributes in the course of his previous roles with us and I am confident he will build on this in his new role. This is an important next step in our evolution as we enhance our focus in the market.”
