Taiwanese manufacturer announces HTC 10 evo its first water-resistant all-metal smartphone
The new device has already been released in the US under the name HTC Bolt. It comes after the recent release of the HTC 10 lifestyle in September this year. The HTC 10 evo will be the manufacturer’s fifth smartphone release this year.

Notably the headphone jack has been removed but HTC will include a pair of USB-C earphones. It’s powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, 5.5-inch QHD display made from Gorilla Glass 5, 16 megapixel main camera and eight megapixel front camera, 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable internal memory.
It has a full-metal body resistant to dust, water and splash with an IP57 rating. Battery capacity is at 3,200 mAh.
HTC has seen its share of UK smartphone sales fall from 5.8 per cent in Q1 2015, to 2.2 per cent in the same quarter this year, according to Kantar Worldpanel. Its installed base fell from 7.3 per cent to 4.7 per cent in the same time.
No information on pricing and availability has been announced, HTC will exclusively sell the new device on its official website.
